Module 51 questions: I cannot find on the resources how to add some to body parts. I attempted to use algunos (as I found on google translate) and use algunos clavos for some nails but it isnt working with several other forms.

Please look under the category for Parts of Body vocabulary. This question has already been answered. Hint: What do the definite and indefinite article mean in Spanish?

Second question. Module 50 (sorry posted it backwards). With the estar verb, for part two and three. The question is Mi hermana _______ (tired) porque mucho. I put "Mi hermana está cansado porque trabaja mucho" but it says it is incorrect. This is the same technique I used for number three were I said Miguel, tú estás ocupado porque hay un examen en la clase de español.

Good question! This is a good opportunity to underline again that adjectives must agree in number and gender with the noun they modify. Hermana is feminine, singular.

Be sure to post on the correct topic as well. This will keep the questions and answers attached to the module.

Hello! Is the final going to be same as the midterm. 10 questions? 5 stay the same and 5 are changed?
Thank you.

Module 24 Adjectives I matched problema with atractiva- however it was telling me this answer was not correct but all the others were correct. Help?

James Abraham said

What did you do with sistema? problema and sistema both end with -EMA.

Reading 4 and listening 5 will not allow me to answer the question correctly. It tells me to answer the question I know that the answer is right but it keeps saying incorrect there is only one answer but it will not take it.

James Abraham said

Be sure to put the question and your answers in the post so we can see where the error is.

Watch out for extra spaces at beginning and end. Also, look at the punctuation. Your answer has to match the key exactly.

¿Cuántos años tiene Flema Caliente? that's the question my answer was Ella tiene dieciocho años.

Just write out the number, not the complete sentence.

Hello Mr. Abraham I wanted to know if we could do my midterm tonight whenever or on Saturday. If that doesn't work could we do it this coming Tuesday.

When are the dates of submission posted - the day the exercise is sent or the day you open it? I've got a patch work of "availables" that I am sure I sent - well as sure as uncertain can be anyway.

I'm not just going to tell you the answer. Show me what you've been trying so I can see the mistake. Check for extra spaces.

I am working on module 39. Specifically, I have these questions...

4. mil trescientos sesenta y ocho. I believe that this is .368 but the "correct" answer appears to be 1.368.

6. 2.012 dos mil cero diez y dos is labeled as incorrect.

8. 45.000 cuarenta y cinco mil cero cero cero is labeled as incorrect.

On the second part of module 35 where we have to conjugate tener, I cannot get some of the questions correct no matter how many times I try. For example, one of the questions is, "My aunt is thirsty", so I wrote "Tiene sed" in the text box. I have gone over all of the resources, as well as some previous ones, however, I cannot figure out why it is saying that it is incorrect. Would you be able to inform me why it isn't?

Please view the responses under the name of the module. I just answered this same question there today.

Does anyone know how to type letters with accents in Microsoft word on MacBook? I did the Writing 1 assignment by copying and pasting the letters but there has to be an easier way, I just can’t figure it out. Thanks!

James Abraham said

My suggestion is to use Google. Every computer is a little bit different. Just type "make spanish accents" and whatever computer you're using.

Where can I find the due dates for these assignments?

James Abraham said

Everything is due at the end. There is a timeline in the syllabus if you need dates.

Hello, I've ben working on Module 2 but for some odd reason it won't let me submit my answers. I do check my answers and I fix the ones that were incorrect but after fixing them it still says incorrect and it won't let me submit. Does anyone know why this is happening? Am I making a mistake?

Jordan said

After I complete a module it says to refresh the page to see the completion date, however, it just says available.

James Abraham said

Okay. You didn't have them all correct then. You only get credit when you get 100%.

In the listening portion Module 6 the 3rd answer on the listening exercise has dashes. I cut and pasted as instructed for the response, but it came up wrong on the submission portion. I took out the dashes on the submission portion and it showed correct.

You’re right! It’s an informal, plural form tho. That’s why it’s incorrect.

Wow, can't believe it is almost midterm time for the 5 week class. I'll send the questions via email. 10 week class, you have a little more time. Have a great weekend!
